Refinishing

Alloy wheels are constantly exposed to road debris, curb contact, and harsh environmental conditions. Over time, these factors can leave wheels scratched, scuffed, faded, or damaged.

At Alloy Wheel Bahrain, our wheel refinishing service focuses on restoring the appearance of your alloy wheels through careful surface preparation, cosmetic damage correction, and professional refinishing techniques. Our goal is to achieve a clean, consistent finish that enhances the overall appearance of your vehicle.

Our refinishing service includes:

  • Removal or correction of suitable curb rash, scratches, and surface scuffs.
  • Surface preparation to promote coating adhesion and a smooth finish.
  • Restoration of worn, faded, and cosmetically damaged surfaces.
  • Refinishing to complement the wheel's original design and appearance.
  • Final visual quality inspection for a consistent, professional result.

The result: Wheels that look refreshed, refined, and closer to their original condition, subject to the extent of the damage.

Wheel Straightening

Precision correction for bent and distorted wheels.

Potholes, road impacts, and accidental curb strikes can cause alloy wheels to bend or become distorted. This may result in steering vibration, uneven wheel rotation, or difficulty maintaining tyre pressure.

Alloy Wheel Bahrain provides wheel straightening for suitable repairable wheels, using appropriate equipment and controlled correction techniques to restore wheel geometry as closely as possible to the required specifications.

Our straightening service includes:

  • Inspection to identify visible deformation and wheel runout.
  • Assessment of radial and lateral distortion.
  • Controlled correction of suitable bent wheel sections.
  • Post-repair checks to evaluate wheel rotation and rim profile.
  • Recommendations for further inspection or replacement when damage exceeds safe repair limits.

The result: Improved wheel roundness and smoother rotation, helping address vibration caused by wheel deformation.

Safety note: Wheels with significant cracks, severe deformation, or compromised structural integrity may not be suitable for straightening.

Wheel Recoloring & Custom Finishing

Your vision. Your colour. Our craftsmanship.

Wheel recoloring is an effective way to transform the appearance of a vehicle without replacing the original wheels. Choose a subtle factory-inspired look or a bold, sporty finish, with options to suit different styles and preferences.

Our process emphasizes correct surface preparation, suitable coating selection, controlled application, and appropriate curing to achieve an attractive and durable finish.

Our recoloring options include:

  • Gloss black: A deep, reflective finish for a bold, premium appearance.
  • Satin black: A refined finish with a balanced sheen.
  • Matte finishes: An understated, contemporary look.
  • Custom colours: Personalised colours to complement your vehicle.
  • Selected metallic finishes: Distinctive visual effects, subject to the wheel design and coating system.

Service includes surface preparation, suitable coating application, curing where required, and final finish inspection.

The result: A personalized wheel appearance with a professional finish designed for durability and everyday use.

Wheel Welding

Specialist assessment. Careful repair. Safety first.

Alloy wheel cracks can develop after impacts with potholes, road debris, or other obstacles. Depending on their location and severity, cracks can compromise a wheel's ability to retain air and withstand driving loads.

At Alloy Wheel Bahrain, damaged wheels are assessed to determine whether repair is technically appropriate. Where permitted by applicable safety requirements and supported by the wheel's condition, suitable aluminium alloy repairs may be carried out using an appropriate welding procedure.

Our wheel repair process may include:

  • Visual inspection and identification of the damaged area.
  • Assessment of crack location, extent, and surrounding material condition.
  • Evaluation of whether the wheel is suitable for repair.
  • Appropriate specialist TIG welding for eligible repairs.
  • Post-repair inspection and relevant leak or integrity checks.
  • Surface refinishing where appropriate and technically suitable.

The result: A repaired wheel only where the damage, construction, and applicable safety requirements permit a responsible repair.

Important: Not all cracked wheels can or should be welded. Damage to spokes, mounting areas, or other highly stressed structural sections may require wheel replacement. A successful weld or leak test alone does not establish that a wheel is safe for road use.

Wheel Stripping

A clean surface. The foundation of a superior finish.

Over time, existing wheel coatings can become faded, chipped, peeling, or damaged. Wheel stripping removes old paint, powder coating, and unsuitable surface finishes to prepare the wheel for restoration or recoating.

At Alloy Wheel Bahrain, we focus on appropriate stripping methods to remove unwanted coatings while preserving the integrity of the underlying wheel material.

Our wheel stripping service includes:

  • Old coating removal: Removing existing paint and powder coating using suitable stripping methods.
  • Surface cleaning: Removing residual coating and contaminants to prepare the wheel for further processing.
  • Preparation for recoating: Creating a suitable foundation for new powder coating, painting, or other compatible finishes.
  • Inspection after stripping: Checking the exposed surface for visible corrosion, damage, and imperfections that may need additional treatment.
  • Refinishing preparation: Preparing suitable wheels for the next stage of restoration and finishing.

Why is wheel stripping important?

Applying a new coating over damaged, peeling, or incompatible old finishes can compromise the final result. Proper stripping provides a clean starting point, supports coating adhesion when combined with correct surface preparation, and helps achieve a consistent, professional finish.

The Alloy Wheel Bahrain difference: A quality finish starts long before the new colour is applied. Proper coating removal and surface preparation help lay the groundwork for a refined, durable result.

Note: The stripping method is selected according to the wheel material and existing coating to avoid unnecessary damage to the substrate.
